What Personality Type Are You?
Everyone has a unique personality that drives them to act and react differently from one another. However, by knowing yourself and others more in-depth, you can connect and align easier with the world.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator Test (MBTI)
One of the more widely used tests is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator test. MBTI uses an extensive list of questions to give you a personality type based on the answer. Within the MBTI® Manual, the ideas below within their program help to describe your personality type:
- Favorite world: Do you prefer to focus on the outer world or your inner world? Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I).
- Information: Do you prefer to focus on the essential information you take in, or to interpret and add meaning? Sensing (S) or Intuition (N).
- Decisions: When making decisions, do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or first look at the people and exceptional circumstances? Thinking (T) or Feeling (F).
- Structure: In dealing with the outside world, do you prefer to get things decided, or to stay open to new information & options? Judging (J) or Perceiving (P).
What’s Your Personality Type?
First, the answers you give will determine which letters describe you in each category. But you will combine the results to reveal your personality type. The results will help you because you understand your personality better. But knowing this information is not only powerful for yourself but others. You can use the knowledge to avoid unnecessary triggers so you can help calm yourself down when becoming triggered.
You can use industry-wide used Myers Briggs or another method to help you identify your personality and understand more of both yourself & others to work more effectively as a team.
